I haven't been this excited about an article of dress since I sprung for a black patent leather backpack purse in 5th grade, complete with a keychain of a dried rose encased in acrylic.
I've wanted some variation of these since 7th grade. I figured, with these, an oversized fairisle sweater, miniskirt and hair dyed red and shaved underneath, I would be an unstoppable fashion tour de force.
I got neither sweater, nor skirt, nor these... but did dye my hair red and shave it underneath with my friend's help. And a Bic razor.
... which was painful.
Hehe!! I'm getting exciiiiiteeedddd!
:::pant,pant::: I had them on my Zappos wishlist since February, and in a way, when something's on my wishlist, I don't feel like I have to buy it, because it's there for me to look at and admire whenever I want. But just last week, they disappeared off the list!
I was frantic, searching all over the site. They'd stopped carrying them!
Finally, after an hour-long search online, I found them at Delias.com.
... and now, now they're mine!
All mine!
Is it wrong to act on (expensive) juvenile wardrobe lusts?
Stay tuned, for it remains to be seen. Til then, I leave you with the song that comes into my head every time I look at these boots.

Wow you got some. I like the white too. Mine came the other day and I was super excited too, I haven't taken mine off! There was a problem at the post office though, they had lost my parcel but they eventually found it after 30 mins, that really scared me!!! Thanks again for showing me the auction and I'm so glad you got some. Have you worked out how to wear them??? I am getting a little stuck because they are so patterned!
Oh, they are so, so beautiful... Lucky!!!
Ahhhh, Pete and Pete!
I might print out those photos and bind them together into a flip book. A flip book that SHOWCASES YOUR DOC LUST.
I think it's incredibly important to splurge on the things we wanted as youngins. If we still want them as adults, and have the financial capacity to ACQUIRE them, why the hell not? Fashion be damned! Items like this feed our souls.
Can't wait to see them in action. I mean, besides in my flip book.
ahh, I love them so much! I've wanted those for some time now, but I don't think I could pull them off.
Fashion Haley: Yikes! I would have blown a gasket, as I often nearly do at the post office manned by asswipes near my house. You're welcome about the auction, together we will start a flowery booted revolution!
Missa: thank you!
Lily: why do they not make intelligent programming like P&P anymore?
Sal: you crack me up! You only live once, so I guess I really should spring for some vintage Cazals as well!
Sam: where there's a will, there's a way! And a cool alternative to these Docs are these Blowfish boots they're selling on UO that are black with a floral pattern. I was considering them as well, and they seem slightly more wearable.
Oh. Docs. I feel I may soon have to buy once again into my youth for fashion..
As if leggings and rompers weren't enough. *sigh*
Woah!! Way to bring back good childhood memories with the Pete-and-Pete plug! Very nice! Totally unexpected. LOL!
i knew it was delias cause of the free sample shaving gel ;)
congrats!
Love them. And your pictures of your shoe joy.
